Algarve O Meeting · Loulé

Discover Loulé

AOM is designed to reveal inland Loulé: historic streets, Barrocal, protected landscapes and Mediterranean forest — with the Algarve coast still within easy reach.

Discover inland Loulé

The AOM brand is deliberately not centred only on the Algarve coastline. Competition takes athletes through Loulé city, Benafim and Rocha da Pena, showing the Barrocal and inland Mediterranean landscape that many visitors never see.

Loulé city on an orienteering map

At accreditation each athlete will receive a Loulé city orienteering map so they can walk between points of interest and discover the city independently.

Benafim

Benafim hosts the main forest arena, the Saturday night sprint and the Sunday WRE Long Distance. It is also the base for hard-floor accommodation at Sport Clube Benafim.

Rocha da Pena

The coast still matters

Quarteira, Vilamoura and the beaches of the Algarve are part of the wider stay experience — ideal for recovery days and families — but AOM’s identity starts inland.
